Its obvious when you compare the cgi titans from both studios, MAPPA easily wins in that regard. However, when it comes to the ODM gear scenes and character acting, its rather underwhelming. After watching this epic show shingeki no kyojin (Attack on titan) I was searching for something similar and going by the recommendations and checking them out. Attack on Titan is probably written and produced better, but it wouldn't exist without Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball just has better world building, and is more complex. And this coming from someone who didn't watch Dragon Ball during their childhood. But you shouldn't watch the 2 for the same reason.
I feel like most anime will never have the chance of being better than aot solely because they'll never be finished/renewed. And this will continue happening especially as the anime industry becomes increasingly competitive. I've seen tons of shows that go on for dozens more arcs in their manga that will probably never see an anime adaptation.
Yes!!! It is the game of thrones of anime. i agree nothing is more intense then aot. Yes, Attack on Titan is a great starter, the first episode gets right into what’s going on, if your friend doesn’t get hooked to the first couple of episodes then he won’t like anything probably.
